Day Twenty-Two: Shaky Ground

“…our lives shake not because God has abandoned…but because He is passing by.” (Paraphrased, Voskamp, 2010)

Wow! This says so much to me. My friends and I are quite familiar with the idea that, the closer we are to Him, the harder evil tries to cause us harm and to cause a rift between us and Our Father. When we are on the right track spiritually, it seems as though all manner of bad comes into our lives otherwise.

Our lives are getting shaken up because He is there in the midst of us. He is protecting us from the evil one. Evil is fighting to pluck us from the hands of Our Father, and He isn’t letting go. They are fighting over you, over me. How awesome is that?

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:31 (KJV)

22. I am thankful for the safety that I have in Him. I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I know Who holds tomorrow!

  1. Isn't it such a gift all its own just to know we are hidden in the shadow of His wings? Lovely words, Sis. Thank you for sharing your heart.

  2. Yes, it is a wonderful gift, Sis. I've never looked at it as us being hidden, because with all of the ick happening, it seems that we're anything but hidden. This new perspective is so much easier to take, and should make it easier to get through the bad stuff when it comes along.

Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. :)
