Day Forty-Seven: Wind Chill Factor…Or Not

One hundred degrees! We will be there in a month’s time, if history repeats itself. We have reached the upper 80s already. I am not looking forward to the really hot weather, but it does make me more thankful for this weather that we have been having lately. I love all of the color that is available this time of year.

My favorite season of the year is winter. I love cold weather, but I miss the flowers and colors available in the other seasons. Thankfully, we never really have a winter here. It never gets super cold, nor does it stay cold for long.

What is your favorite season? Do you love the heat of the summer or live for the cold of the winter? Or, do you prefer the more moderate temperatures offered in the spring and the fall?

47. I am thankful for spring weather and the flowers. I am thankful for feeling alive, which is more than I can say for this time last year. I am thankful for a growing ever-closer relationship with my husband and thankful for the plans that he has made for our old age. I am thankful for all that I am learning and for the new friends that I am making along the way. I am thankful for their generosity with the knowledge that they have gained along the way.

  1. We share the same favorite season! :-)

I love the time of year when it hovers between 60 and 70 degrees out and you can see the pollen everywhere and smell the flowers in bloom. A day you can wear a long sleeve or a short sleeve shirt and be comfortable in either.

I don't like what the pollen does for my allergies, but some Zyrtec and preventative measures make it okay!

    :-)

  2. Oh Suz...you can come and have my cold weather. You're in the 80's and were barely able to keep it in the teens here. I've been so incredible cold this winter~~I am not liking it.

As for my favorite season, I would have to say Fall. I love all the colors, apple orchards, pumpkin patch and just the smell of the air.

  3. Thank you, YIB, for stopping by and commenting. I'm a weirdo; I always wear short sleeves, no matter the temps. haha

Are your allergies wrecked right now? Mine are in full swing...and I'm allergic to allergy medicine. I've been sneezing my face off for the last week. :)

Everything here is covered in pollen right now. The beautiful flowers in bloom make the sneezing worth it.

What preventive measures do you use for your allergies?

    Have a wonderful day!

    Suz

  4. Thank you for stopping by and commenting, Deb. I would love to trade weather with you, especially when we get to the end of April, and most definitely in August. haha What state are you in?

I think that apple orchards and pumpkin patches are cool, too, and make great places to take pictures.

We don't get the Fall colors here where I live, at least not like we used to back home in South Carolina. How blessed you are to get Fall colors!

Thank you again for stopping by and commenting. I hope that you have a wonderful day. :)

    Your sis in Christ,
    Suz
