"(He) is behind the faces." (paraphrasal, Voskamp, 2010)
This was an eye opener for me. No matter who I am looking at, no matter who I see, Heavenly Father is there, behind their faces. All of us were created in His image. I have known that for years, but not at this level.
Who am I to see ugliness where He is?
I do not generally hold a person's looks against them, but I am human and have my moments. Who am I to think of a person as less because of their looks, their hairstyle, the color of their skin, the slant of their eyes, the sound of their voice, or the curve of their nose? Maybe they are scarred or disfigured, not considered one of the "beautiful people". All of us, perfect or imperfect, are created in His image.
No matter what we as humans have done to distort things, or the perspective with which we see, He is there. He made us, so how could He not be there?
20. I am thankful for the sight that He has given me, and the new vision that has come. I am also thankful for the grace given to me on a financial level today.
